Thank you for choosing the LingHang Theme. This article will guide you on how to install and use the LingHang Theme.
1. Installing the Theme
After successfully purchasing the LingHang Theme, you can see the latest installation package file on the order page. After downloading, go directly to the WordPress Admin Dashboard, navigate to Appearance → Themes, and upload the zip file to install.
If you might involve custom code modifications later, it is recommended to install a Child Theme. If you are unsure whether you will need it, you can still install it.
Child Theme Download:linghang-child.zip(The installation method is the same: upload and activate.)
After installation, activate the Theme. You will enter the license key registration interface. Fill in the license key to start using the LingHang Theme normally.
2. Theme Settings
In the Theme Settings, you can configure colors, LOGO, footer menus, contact information, social media accounts, and performance & security settings.
It is strongly recommended to disable XML-RPC. Based on our experience, many machines on the internet scan this file, causing server load.
3. Building the Website
To build your enterprise website faster, we recommend following the sequence below.
Scientific and Reasonable Website Building Sequence
1. Create the Pages needed for the website
In the website Admin Dashboard, go to Pages → Add New, and create essential pages for the website, such as Home, About, Contact, Services, etc.
2. Create Menus
The LingHang Theme supports menus in 4 locations:
- Primary Menu → Called by the navigation bar
- Footer Menu → Called by the first menu in the footer (the menu name will also be called)
- Footer Menu 2 → Calls the second footer menu (menu name will also be called)
- Footer Menu 3 → Displayed at the bottom right corner; if not set, no content will be displayed
3. Fill content for each page
You can select any page you have created, click Edit, then click the + sign in the top right corner or the + sign on the right side of the mouse to add blocks. For details, refer to the video below.
Add blocks to design the page
The first version of the LingHang Theme comes pre-built with 16 blocks commonly used in enterprise website building. The usage of each block is similar; you only need to click to add and then fill in the content, which is very simple.
Add heroBlock
The Hero block will add a background image by default. You can upload your own image to override it. Two buttons are optional; if you only need one, just fill in one.
Add About block
The About block supports swapping the positions of the left and right image and text. If a section is not needed, leave it blank and it will not be displayed.
