Thank you for choosing the LingHang theme. This article will guide you on how to install and use the Qihang theme.
1. Installing the Theme
After successfully purchasing the LingHang theme, you can find the latest installation package file on the order page. Download it, then go to the WordPress admin panel, under Appearance > Themes, upload the compressed package to install.
If you later need to make custom code modifications, it is recommended to install a child theme. If you are unsure whether you will need it, you can also install it.
Child Theme Download:linghang-child.zip(The installation method is the same: upload and activate.)
After installation, activate the theme and go to the authorization code registration interface. Enter the authorization code to use the LingHang theme normally.
2. Theme Settings
In the theme settings, you can configure colors, logo, footer menu, contact information, social media accounts, as well as performance and security settings.
It is strongly recommended to disable XML-RPC. Based on our experience, many bots on the internet scan this file, causing server load.
3. Building Your Website
To build your business website faster, we suggest following the order below.
Scientific and Reasonable Website Building Order
1. Create the pages needed for the website
In the WordPress admin panel, go to Pages > Add New, and create essential pages for the website, such as Home, About, Contact, Services, etc.
2. Create Menus
The LingHang theme supports menus in 4 locations:
- Main Menu → Called in the navigation bar
- Footer Menu → Called in the first footer menu (menu name is also displayed)
- Footer Menu 2 → Called in the second footer menu (menu name is also displayed)
- Footer Menu 3 → Displayed at the bottom right; if not set, nothing is displayed
3. Fill in content for each page
You can select any page you have created, click Edit, then click the + icon in the top right corner or the + icon on the right side of the mouse to add blocks. See the video below for details.
Adding Blocks to Design the Page
The first version of the LingHang theme comes with 16 commonly used blocks for business website building. Each block is used in a similar way: simply click to add, then fill in the content. It is very simple.
Add HeroBlock
The Hero block adds a background image by default. You can upload your own image to replace it. Two buttons are optional; if you only need one, just fill in one.
Add About Block
The About block supports swapping the position of left and right images and text. If you don't need a section, simply leave it blank and it will not be displayed.
